Jenny Murphy, guitar & vocals.
Jenny Murphy is an entertainer for all ages. She has performed in theaters, at rallies, festivals and concert halls, and on streets and subway platforms. A story teller in the American folk tradition, she sings songs from past and present mostly to inspire understanding and action. She is a founding member of Hudson Valley Sally, and long time song leader with Walkabout Clearwater Chorus. She appears on numerous recordings with her groups and others including the Grammy winning CD “Pete Seeger at 89.” She is a long time member of Concerned Families of Westchester who occupies this same space most Saturdays to spread awareness and vigil for peace and justice. Jenny is the founder of Babies & Grands Music, an early childhood music program for young children, their caregivers and elders, where she has been using music to foster inter-generational friendships since 2012.
